Strategic UX Designer with 6+ years building high-impact digital products across Cybersecurity, Travel-tech, and AI — leveraging AI to solve complex user problems at enterprise scale.
I'm Asif Mukthar, a Strategic UX Designer based in Bengaluru, India. I specialise in building high-impact digital products that work at enterprise scale — translating complex technical systems into experiences that are intuitive, scalable, and measurable.
Over 6 years I've worked across Cybersecurity (OpenText), Travel-tech (Quick Rentals), and AI Products (Pixis) — shipping products that reduced booking friction by 40%, achieved 85% beta satisfaction, and improved task completion rates by 30%.
I bring AI into every part of my workflow — from research synthesis and rapid ideation to prototype generation and design QA. Equally, accessibility isn't a checkbox for me — it's baked into how I design from the first wireframe. Every product I ship is built to work for everyone.
Accessibility and AI augmentation aren't add-ons — they're how I design. I use AI tools daily to move faster and explore wider, while ensuring every product I ship meets WCAG standards and works for all users, not just the median.

From discovery and research to pixel-perfect delivery and cross-functional handoff — I cover the full product design process.
I actively integrate AI into my design practice — not to replace thinking, but to amplify it. From AI-driven research synthesis to prototype acceleration, AI helps me ship better work faster.
At OpenText I drove the UX for AI-powered features inside Application Security products — including code analysis, auto-remediation UX, and vulnerability triage interfaces that reduce analyst burden.
I use tools like Cursor, Claude, and Figma AI to accelerate prototyping — generating interactive mockups and design scaffolding that let me test ideas with users days faster.
At Pixis I designed the UX for AI-driven chat assistance and custom avatar generation — resulting in a 40% increase in user interaction time and a 70% reduction in profile setup time.
I apply AI to analyse user interview transcripts, cluster insights, and surface patterns — compressing days of affinity mapping into hours of synthesis that directly informs design decisions.
Beyond client work, I build things for myself — tools, prototypes, and ideas that scratch a creative or technical itch. These are the experiments where constraints disappear and curiosity takes the wheel.

End-to-end UX design of a self-drive car and bike rental platform built for Thailand — from onboarding and booking flow to real-time notifications and admin tools, designed as the founding team's Senior UX Designer.
Thailand's self-drive rental market is booming — digital booking platforms captured 63% of car rental transactions in 2025, growing at a 9.28% CAGR. Yet despite this growth, the experience for renters remained riddled with friction, mistrust, and inefficiency.
Existing platforms suffered from a cluster of compounding problems: hidden pricing and opaque fees that only surfaced at checkout, forcing users to abandon bookings late in the flow. Language barriers locked out a large portion of international tourists — Thailand welcomed 32.9 million foreign visitors in 2025 alone — who struggled through Thai-only interfaces and confusing insurance options. Rigid payment requirements (credit card-only deposits) blocked users with debit cards or local bank accounts, a friction point surfacing repeatedly in real user reviews of incumbent platforms. Beyond payment, long paperwork-heavy pickup processes, poor real-time communication, and a complete absence of post-booking notifications left renters anxious and uninformed. On the admin side, fleet operators had no unified tool to manage availability, reservations, or vehicle status in real time — relying instead on spreadsheets and phone calls.
Fastride was designed to fix all of this from the ground up — building trust through transparency, and convenience through a booking flow that puts the user in control at every step.
Designed a streamlined onboarding flow that handled document upload (passport, IDP), licence validation, and account creation in a single coherent journey — reducing drop-off at the critical first-touch moment.
Rebuilt the booking experience from scratch — reducing steps by 40% through smart defaults, progressive disclosure of pricing (zero hidden fees), and inline insurance selection with plain-language explanations. Users could complete a reservation in under 3 minutes.
Designed a full notification system covering booking confirmation, vehicle readiness, rental start/end, late return warnings, and damage reporting — keeping users informed at every stage without overwhelming them.
Designed a web-based admin dashboard for fleet operators — covering vehicle availability management, live booking status, driver verification queue, revenue reporting, and customer support tooling.
One of the most praised design decisions in beta: a cost breakdown component that showed base rate, insurance tier, fuel policy, and deposit clearly before checkout — directly addressing the hidden-fee mistrust that plagued competitors.
Built and maintained a cohesive design system ensuring brand and UX consistency across the mobile app, responsive web platform, and admin interface — spanning typography, components, motion, and interaction patterns.
The full case study is available as an interactive Figma prototype — covering the complete design process, research findings, wireframes, and final UI across all surfaces.
